Uniforms

MOVIN’ EASY is the preferred dancewear retailer of The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas for all of the uniform items required in the BCSTX Dress Code. Please see the UNIFORM LIST BY CLASS LEVEL.

Hair

CLICK HERE to learn how to make the perfect bun for class. Having hair properly secured is essential at The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas. If your dancer’s hair is too short to be pulled into a bun, please secure as best as possible with hair ties, clips or headbands to ensure hair is out of the face when in class.

Overview of School Policies

  • Please escort students ages 7 and under in and out of the building. Do not drop them off in the parking lot or road.
  • When arriving, students should quietly prepare for class and assemble quietly outside the classrooms until invited in by their instructor.
  • Students in Ballet IV and up, however, may quietly enter the studios to warm up before class.
  • Please arrange for prompt pick-up after class. We cannot be responsible for watching children after their class time.
  • Students are not permitted to wait outside or leave the premises until their parent or guardian collects them.
  • Ballet shoes should not be worn outside of the building.
  • All students must wear a “cover-up” over their uniform when entering and leaving the building.
  • The lobby in Studio C is restricted to parents and guests, and entry doors to Studio C will remain locked during class for the safety of students.

Cell Phone and Other Handheld Devices

To ensure a high-quality training environment and a positive atmosphere, the following cell phone policy has been adopted:

  • Student cell phone use is strictly prohibited in studios, restrooms, locker rooms, and in the lobby unless explicitly permitted by an instructor.
  • Cell phones and other handheld devices must be stored in the student’s bag and set to silent mode. If a student is observed using a cell phone, they will be instructed to put it away.
