Ballet Conservatory Students Sign Contracts with Professional Ballet Companies in Kansas City and Chicago
San Antonio, TX, – The Ballet Conservatory of South Texas (BCSTX) is thrilled to announce that former students, Samantha Huebner and Bethany Patterson, have both signed contracts to perform professionally with two acclaimed ballet companies. Samantha Huebner will be joining Kansas City Ballet, Kansas City, Missouri, and Bethany Patterson will be performing with Ballet 5:8 in Chicago, Illinois. BCSTX is the only nonprofit ballet academy in San Antonio that offers young dancers preprofessional training and performance experiences staged by nationally known choreographers.
Samantha and Bethany have committed their lives to the art of ballet and this accomplishment demonstrates that through determination and proper training, anything is possible.
“The Ballet Conservatory is extremely proud of Samantha and Bethany. They exemplify what we hope for all our dancers to achieve through dedication, perseverance, and the passion to dance.”
– Marieli Pope, Artistic Director
“My teachers at BCSTX listened to me & understood my drive to become professional ballerina. My classes focused on improving my technique, polishing my artistry, pushing me harder to master my skills, and then offering multiple performance opportunities to gain confidence in live performance. Every teacher I trained with was a retired professional, experienced in the life I wanted, and knew exactly what I needed to become professional, too. Thanks to my teachers’ experiences, knowledge, guidance, encouragement and professionalism, I am now a Trainee with the Kansas City Ballet. I believe my success is a combination of my personal drive & my incredible training at BCSTX of San Antonio.” – Samantha Huebner
The mission of BCSTX is to fulfill the developmental needs of serious young dancers, regardless of economic background, in a safe, nurturing and pre-professional dance company environment.
