Since 2005, the Ballet Conservatory has been committed to providing performance opportunities. We want to ignite a passion for live performance by introducing the most captivating and exciting ballets. From the classic story ballet to original contemporary works, the Conservatory has an extensive repertoire by nationally recognized choreographers.

This season, the Ballet Conservatory will present a fall and two spring performances, each designed to delight audiences of all ages.

Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet

October 20 and 21, 2017
Laurie Auditorium, Trinity University

The Ballet Conservatory will begin the 2017-2018 season on Friday, October 20th and Saturday, October 21st with two productions at Laurie Auditorium. The family oriented program will feature a company premiere of Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet, based on the popular storybook by Jane O’Connor, as well as the ballet classic, Peter and the Wolf.  These magical story ballets are brought to life by the skilled and elegant BCSTX company members, and will delight children of all ages.

In continuation of our outreach program, the Ballet Conservatory will again be partnering, with SAReads, a project of Literacy San Antonio, Inc.  Donate a book at the October 21st performance to help fill the SAReads book bank!

Legend of the Bluebonnet Ballet

March 3 and 4, 2018
Jo Long Theatre, Carver Community Cultural Center

In its 13th year, the Ballet Conservatory will present a spring performance demonstrating a combination of classical and contemporary ballets.  This year, we are thrilled to partner with San Antonio’s Tricentennial, celebrating the history and wonder that make San Antonio so beautiful.  In remembrance, the Ballet Conservatory will perform an original ballet based on the loved storybook “The Legend of the Bluebonnet”, by Tomie DePaolo.

In the second act, original contemporary pieces will be performed honoring the beauty and history of San Antonio.
